“1961 Willys Jeep Pickup truck. Restoration began with a near perfect rust free vehicle. Project was finished more than 20 years ago. Only 11,784 miles were ever put on the truck. And that was occasional driving for the first 3 years. Mostly to and from cars shows, truck shows, and parades. Then it went into storage for a few years. And for the last several years, it’s been parked under a shed. Time for a new owner.

Old school Chevy small block 350 engine, mated to a 350TH automatic transmission. Power steering. Power brakes. All GM 4×4 drive train. Extensive custom stainless steel fabrication work through out. Including bumpers, winch mount, step bars, firewall, driveshaft, exhaust, mufflers, ladder bars, etc, The hydraulic dump bed was installed to show off the immaculate undercarriage. The sides were cut out of the original hood to reveal a once highly detailed engine bay. (I have a perfect, mint, original hood that is included in this sale.)

Recently, brought the truck out of long term storage & did a complete tune up, rebuilt the Holley 4 barrell carb, and did an oil change. This was a very expensive custom job even 20 years ago. Today, if you can even find a really nice, rust free Willys Pickup out in the desert Southwest, its going to cost you somewhere in the $10,000 range. Then you have to pay shipping to get it back East. Then you’re going to have to buy all the GM running gear. Then shell out upwards of $30k to get a quality hot rod custom shop to build it and paint it. Do the math. This is an absolute steal at only $12,000! And it has a clear, clean NORTH CAROLINA TITLE.”

    Hi Jordan,

I wish I had the buyer’s contact info, as I’m sure they’d like the history. Unfortunately, all I had was the Craigslist link; I don’t know who the seller was or who bought it.

    Good luck with your search,

    – Dave
