UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $3000.
This is one odd duck.
“1954 Willys Jeep, has chopped 1982 Chevy Luv 4×4 frame, engine,
trans, etc, runs pretty good, drives down the road, 4 linked rear, crappy tires hold air, 4×4 seems to work ok, has new windshield glass and battery, fresh oil. NO TITLE, I was just building me a toy, $3000, may take weapons on partial trades”
Looks like an M38 to me, so that’s a couple years before 1954… probably 1951.
And too bad whoever chopped that 4×4 LUV chassis cut it too short… should have left the wheelbase longer allowing the front wheels to be more forward.
I did mark the M-38 category and it does have an M-38 body, hood, grille and windshield, but thought it was just too funky to call it an M-38.
“Custom” 🙂 Nice.
RIP to the M38 that donated its body so that thing could live. I’m sure it was born out of a pile of parts, the builder figured, “how can I smash these pieces together to get a running fun-mobile…?”
