Just noticed something, no drain holes, where are all you drain hole fanatics, how come you didn’t comment on this? Doesn’t bother ME ONE BIT, for all of those who know me well, you’d know I’d fill them anyway.

I didn’t mentioned the drain holes because I didn’t spot them. Filled holes doesn’t bother me, but often it’s a sign of body work, which is why I mention it.
Philippines replacement body ?
sure looks good at least he has it painted correct underside and wheel wheels same color as top side, shouldn’t the windshield frame be black ? (from factory)
Clem, the body is so clean that it may well be a replacement. The windshield is incorrect anyway, as it is a 3A instead of a 2A. Looks like this one sold (not surprised given the price).

Hey can someone help me out I was looking at a 1948 willys jeep but on both sides of the Jeep from the front wheel well back is diamond plated pattern. Is there anyway this is original or is it definitely put on after? Thanks for any help given !

Hi Ted,
The diamond plate would not be original. There was no diamond plate installed on original jeeps. So, definitely it was put on afterward.
In the Pacific Northwest, sometimes diamond plate was added to protect bodies, but for the most part diamond plate was added (1) because someone thought it looked good or (2) to hide holes/damage/rust. If you have more questions, feel free to email me directly at d@deilers.com.
