Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Owned by 2 families for the last 51 years! 4 cylinder engine, 3 speed manual transmission with 4 wheel drive high and low. Has top, sides that roll down and doors plus back seat. Also included is second engine. It has sat in garage last 2 years and not driven. Will need battery, carburator and gas tank cleaned.”
That looks like a clean original jeep, maybe even original paint. Facebook ad indicates that the fuel system work has been done, along with an alternator installed, it may run. I don’t think the price is too far out of line.
I see aee a patch on rear right corner behind light. Hood has no Willy’s stampings. No rear corners would suggest replacement body.
Good observation Bob, still a nice jeep, but have to rethink the valuation.
