UPDATE :Price dropped to $9000.
I haven’t seen a metal plate added to the carb like this one has.

“1948 willys jeep 4×4.. 4 cylinder,3speed manual , 2 speed transfer case, fully restored. Runs and drives great. Converted to 12 volt system..This is a great jeep, just don’t drive.. asking $12,500.”
What exactly is the purpose of the metal plate? can’t figure it out.
It’s a homemade heat shield to keep gas from percolating. I could see a value to it if it sat stationary for a time, say, running a pc of equipment. There actually was a factory one for some applications. If I can find it in our inventory, I’ll photograph it and forward it.
Barney, that would be great. I can’t remember seeing a factory heat shield.
Here’s a custom(?) heat shield: https://www.thecj2apage.com/forums/fuel-leak-revisited-and-carb-question_topic28429.html

Dave, I emailed you that pic and sent a follow up email. Are you getting them?
Hi Barney,
I did not. Did you send them to d@deilers.com? my d@ewillys.com account is still offline.
