<– Day 12 Aug 13: Alternator Blues | Day 14 Aug 15: Beach Bums –>
The crew started Wednesday morning in Nova Scotia. Their plan was to head for Prince Edward Island via the ferry. Then, they found a place to camp at High Bank, PEI.
The day began with a beautiful morning. Below, you can see Joe’s CJ-3B hiding behind a tree as the sun breaks over it.
The crystal blue sky frames this photo of Scott and Kathy nicely:
However, some of the crew had gotten a little bit too much sun, which led to a .. well … I’m just not sure what is going on here … bonding? Greco-Roman wrestling?
Imitating Alpacas?
Whatever that was, it was soon over and our intrepid crew was back on the road:
At least until Jim needed some more gas, so they pulled over:
Once back on the road, the hungry crew stopped for some breakfast at Stone Soup Cafe in Pictou, which was only a few minutes from their ferry north to Prince Edward Island. Soon, they were lined up for their third ferry ride of the trip.
The landed safely on Prince Edward Island and proceeded to their campground, which I’ve learned since originally author this post that it is Bill’s Uncle Bob’s property. Not too shabby!
Captain Morgan got busy swinging an axe and/or running a chain saw:
While Jim made some firewood, Kevin prepared the fire … erh … bonfire!
Once they settled into camp, the crew didn’t scrimp on dinner. Those are some good looking ribeyes!
Good work on the food! All that was left was to relax around the fire.

I think they were wrestling over which way to go?
What an amazing trip!nice to see our U.S. flag at the campsite!
We are camping at Uncle Bob’s house in High Bank, PEI. We are here for 2-3 days before heading home. We’ll have dinner out tonight after we do a little beach hike today! (Assuming that we can get Jim motivated)
Bill
Thanks Bill. Looks like a beautiful place to stay!
Pretty sure they were fighting over the last steak.
