UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
This must be a pretty early CJ-5 given the speedo. That hoop is crazy vintage (not sure it would do much good if you did roll). And yet, it’s so odd, I like it.
“1955 Jeep Willys 4×4 4 cylinder overhead valves. 99% original. Runs! 27,458 miles. Used as a hunting rig and we have upgraded to a more modern vehicle. Asking $3,500 OBO.”
I haven’t come across a speedo that has looked like that. I like it. Hoop is probably more for the hunters benefit, something to hang onto.
That’s the early KS 0-10 speedo. My 1956 DJ-3A also has that in it (and still works, too), but it was one of the last of the DJs to have it. Rusty was only a couple hundred units later, but had the next KS speedometer, the 0-8 white face.
looks like the speedos in my AERO-WILLYS CARS ?
Very similar, but I think someone told me they aren’t exact? I haven’t compared them in a while.
