It appears to have a replacement body.

“1942 Ford GPW. Fords version on Willys flat fender Jeep. All original running gear. Runs good. New carb and brake cylinders. Light bar and winch. Title in my name. I will keep the collector plate.”
How o you tell it is replacement body?
James,
Note the dash. It looks similar to an M-38 dash (glove box on the right and an insert in the middle for gauges). Now, note the lack of a battery box lid on the right side of a cowl. An M-38 body would have a lid there. This suggests to me that this is an aftermarket body.
When MD Juan first started making replacement bodies, they only had an M-38 with which to work. The bodies resembled M-38s at first (but lacking the battery box lid). Over the years, the company was able to afford to retool the body stamps so that replacement CJ-2A bodies looked more like 2A bodies, etc.
I hope that helps!
