1954 M-38A1 Flower Mound, TX **SOLD**

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000.

I assume the wires sticking out of the battery box was a temporary thing related to getting the jeep going. It looks solid.

“1954 Willys M38A1, original 24v, 4 cylinder. Military tires, roof believed to be original and in good condition (no rips/tears). Fording kit, heater, military 24v charging port installed. OEM Brass Fire Ext. All canvas including front radiator cover for winter. Some of the door/ side curtain fastener stays have started to pull through.

Inherited this from my father who owned it 10-12 years, I was probably the last person to drive it 2009-2010. Started working on getting it running again, cleaned fuel system, new carb, new starter. Start and runs, with a miss, not sure why. Need to get this moved to finish the garage it’s in.”

Wow. That’s my old jeep, sold it about 1987. Does look a little worse for wear, but was a nice solid jeep years ago. Wonder how it ended up in Texas.

    Hi everyone,
Looks like this jeep made it to England!, I bought it about 8 months ago from a dealer who imported it from Texas and done a little work on it and have been running around the Manchester area ever since. As with all old vehicles they need a bit of tlc but its been running great ever since, proud of the Willy’s brand and its history , Id love to know more of it former life if anyone can enlighten me, best wishes

    Hi Paul,

Congrats on the purchase and successful shipping (the shipping can be a bit nerve-racking … a friend from lost a container load of jeep parts while shipping them overseas from the US a few years ago).

Buz may be able to help you out with some history. Have fun with it! And, have a Happy New Year!

    Thanks Dave,
I hope Buz does read this and can give me some past history on the jeep. It would be great to research it more, I think the person I bought it from did all the hard work and hassle getting it over! . Thanks for your reply Dave have a happy new year!
