Cant say I’d want a piece of tempered glass out front if that is the case. On a side note, anyone know when laminated safety glass was put in play?
Laminated windshields were first introduced in 1927, according to this website http://www.glasslinks.com/newsinfo/ag_history.htm
In addition, “Since 1966, all passenger cars produced in the United States have been equipped with an improved laminated windshield with additional built-in safety. It is designed to withstand about three times the impact velocity of the windshield previously in use.”
