UPDATE: **SOLD**. Was $6500.
Both need work.
“Two Ford GPW World War 2 Jeeps
One is a 1942 Ford GPW
Serial number 67942 built on 9/24/1942 in Chester, PA
Has MB engine with CJ2 head
Has original data plates
The other is a 1943 Ford GPW
Serial number 90844, date of delivery 1/4/1943
Has CJ2 engine with GPW head.
Data plates are not present on this one
I have a title for the 1942 but not for the 1943
I have the original Ford pintle hitch for the 1942.
All other drivetrain on both appear original.
Both need restoration. At least a complete floor replacement for one. I was planning on doing a rest tub for one and making one good tub from the other parts.
If the ad is up, they are still available.
No trades. There is no bottom dollar, make an offer.”
That one is CLOSE to my 1942 Ford GPW: Serial number 67880 (62 jeeps earlier) built on the SAME DAY, 9/24/1942. I wonder if mine was made in Chester, PA?? I’ve never known how to find out.
Joe,Tom Wolboldt has done extensive research on the Ford GPW and has his own website, thegpwstory.he can help you determine where your GPW was built.
Thanks Doug. I didn’t know about that site. http://www.thegpwstory.com

Hi Eddy,
The ad expired on Craiglist, so it is possible the jeeps are still for sale. Unfortunately, I don’t have current contact information for the seller. I’ve updated the post. If I see the jeeps back on Craigslist, I will send you the link.
