Mitchell is looking for a DJ-3A hardtop for his DJ-3A Dispatcher. He’s located in the midwest. Since he has the delivery body and windshield, the best match might be the Koenig made tops with the sliding doors. Here’s Mitchell’s project:
Here’s the hardtop that would work with his windshield. These pics come from the CJ-3B page:
Mitchell–I am in the process of restoring my 1957 DJ3A hardtop, but I need the body. Mine is pretty rough and dinged up. If you decide you want to go in another direction and don’t need the delivery body, I can make you an offer. I’m located in Dayton, Ohio.
Hey Michael,
Thanks for the offer. I am going to keep the body. Currently relocating the gas tank and have a rebuilt hurricane 4 engine that is in. No going back now haha. If you decide to get rid of your hardtop please let me know ASAP.
thanks.
I have the hardtop you need but I’m in SE PA. Same top as the one pictured in this ad. Contact me if you are interested.
Dave, do you have the delivery body? I’m getting desperate!!
I have the hardtop you are looking for. The one shown from the 3B page. Its all there and working but needs restored. In SE PA.
Delivery body? The top has solid rear panels. Not windows. And the slide up rear window.
Oh, delivery body…..yes. The doors do not slide though. They are hinged. How can I contact you and get some pics to you.
You can send your pictures to mpeace455@yahoo.com. I would really appreciate it.
Sometimes the doors could be switched between swinging and sliding. I don’t know if all these tops had the ability to switch between them. The top with the solid rear panels would be correct for the DJ-3A Dispatcher.
I’ll take some after work and send them tonight.
