UPDATE: Still Available.

(03/23/2018) “Original 1955 Willys CJ-5 in great condition. This Jeep runs like a dream! Brand new T-90 transmission was installed less than two months ago, and the Jeep shifts beautifully. Original speedometer/odometer still works and is a very rare piece. Brand new Smittybilt seats and a brand new exhaust system installed less than two months ago.”
That is such a beautiful foundation to start from
Cool top and looks good. Can’t remember where I saw one like this, maybe the DJ series had them?
The DJ series did have the fastback style tops. One (or more?) of the soft top makers also made a fastback top (like the one above). There were at least two different aftermarket designs.
Looks good and is “closeish” to me. Only red flag I see is what appears to be the $30 flip up fishing boat seats?
Tony
Tony, I’m not a huge fan of those seats either. But, seats are something fairly easily replaced.
I wonder if anyone has seen this one on the market?
Hi Erik,
I haven’t seen this relisted lately. If it does reappear, I’ll drop you an email. In the meantime, here’s a list of alternative CJ-5s in the area: https://knoxville.craigslist.org/search/cto?query=cj5%7C%22cj-5%22
Hi David,
I currently have the Jeep posted on Willysforsale.com
I have other photos and videos of the Jeep running and driving as well.
Please let me if you have any other questions
Thanks Tyler. I’ll update the post and bump it to the front page for Friday morning.
Nice Jeep but if original, shouldn’t 55 have front shackle reversal and Willys tailgate?? I had a 55 and it was a great little Jeep
What size tires are you running on the Jeep? I have restored My 69 to original and recently purchased stock smoothies.
