“Note: This Jeep does not have a title. It will be sold with a bill of sale only. Don’t read any further if you can’t deal with buying it on a bill of sale only. Getting a title is possible through a title company or through the DMV in your state once you purchase it depending on the laws in your state.

Offered is a completely rebuilt beautiful 1952 Willys M38 Army Jeep. Serial #64192.

This jeep was rescued from a farmer in Lafayette, NJ in 2014. It underwent a frame off restoration. I’ve owned over thirty jeeps and have restored approx. 20 of them and have sold them successfully on e-Bay. This Jeep had an excellent 1952 M38 frame and drive train minus the engine. I added a civilian CJ3A engine outfitted to look like an MC engine that was professionally rebuilt by Sigafoos Machine Shop in Easton, PA.

Everything has been gone through on this jeep and everything has been sandblasted, cleaned, repainted, or replaced with new, NOS, or reproduction parts.

Chassis and Drive Train: Brand new leaf springs front and rear, new shackles, new shocks, new axle bumpers, frame stripped/blasted and painted, new clutch and bearing, new seals and bearings and gears as needed in tranny and transfer case which were drained, cleaned, repainted, and all fluids and gaskets replaced, new e-brake pads, hardware, and cable, new engine/tranny mounts, new brakes including all lines and hoses, new master cylinder, four new wheel cylinders. Rebuilt steering box and drag link and new steering wheel, new rear bumperettes, authentic pintle hook. 4 authentic (2 Cooper and 2 Firestone)7.00×16 NDCC tires on blasted and painted 16″ original rims. The tires are older but were never mounted or used. The spare is also unused and older and has some minor sidewall cracking from age. Tranny and transfer case run real strong and all work properly. The jeep also has period correct Dualmatic front locking hubs.

Engine: Professionally rebuilt civilian L-134 engine by Sigafoos machine shop in PA. Runs real strong and smooth, no smoke, no noises, no misses, correct professionally rebuilt Carter YS M38 Carb, civilian fuel pump, rebuilt manifolds and new gaskets, new 12 volt alternator, new 12 volt civilian wiring, new battery, new hoses, new belts, new 160 degree t-stat, new temp. gauge, new ammeter, new fuel gauge and sender, new fuel lines, new oil pressure gauge, new distributor, plugs and wires. Radiator cleaned and painted.

Body: Reproduction MD- Juan M38 body; original driver side fender, new grill, new windshield including glass with new seal, new hood and tailgate, original passenger and rear seat frames with repro driver seat frame, new fuel tank, new top bows, brackets and hardware, new canvas top and seat covers (All canvas is Beachwood Canvas), shovel and axe, original correct dated gas can, repro. water bucket, new blackout lights, NOS headlights and NOS tail-lights, all new data plates (stamped with correct serial number) and original body tag with original serial number on it included in sale.

Misc: Vehicle is wired for 12V civilian use, all new gauges, including speedometer, all lights, all new switches work properly. The old style light switch and trailer plug are not connected to the new wiring – just for show. Original water fording system was not installed. Has proper vacuum windshiled wipers installed and working. Doesn’t have front or rear lifting shackels but they are readily available on the web.

New Speedometer has a few miles on it (<10) unknown what actual mileage is, regardless of odometer reading this Jeep is better than motor pool, almost like it just came off the assembly line.

The only thing left to do with this vehicle is have fun driving it and possibly outfit it with some Korean War Era paraphernalia.

Vehicle is sold as is where is. No sales outside of USA. Shipping costs are responsibility of buyer. Will work with buyer to arrange shipping.

Deposit via Paypal, balance in cash or Paypal upon pick up or prior to shipping. No checks, no trades, no scams.”

    Hi Ronald,

I haven’t seen this M-38 relisted recently on Craigslist. I’ve updated the post. If I see it relisted on Craigslist I will send you a link to the ad so you can contact the seller.

    Hey Dave,
This is Steve (formerly from Chatham NJ now from Dacula GA)
This was one of my jeep restorations. It sold relatively quickly in March. The guy I sold it to has relisted it on FB in the Warner Robbins Area.

Not sure if he was just trying to flip it or decided to go in another direction. He is asking $19,500

Isaac: I looked on Facebook per Steve’s suggestion, but do not see it listed at this time. I’ve updated the post.

Steve: I just have missed your comment!
