“1950 Willys Jeepster Model # 473 VJ, two door convertible with
Three speed transmission with Overdrive, Black over Red
Four cylinder “F” head Hurricane engine first production year for this engine
Seller is the second family owner purchased 1982
Mileage: 119,591 miles are true miles according to the note book (shows 19,591)
New engine @ 103,080
This vehicle has been in storage from 1986
Due to life’s time line, work and children’s High School, College etc;
Due to health issues the seller is unable to finish the Restoration due to crippled hands
And needs to sell this vehicle
To someone that will get this vehicle back on the road, either as a restored 1950 Jeepster
Or as a great Hot Rod!
New parts installed to get him back on the road
New Clutch & pressure Plate, throughout bearing & Flywheel pilot bearing
New Master cylinder, Wheel cylinders, Breaks & Break Drums, Fuel Pump, Rebuilt Crab,
Flushed & Sealed Fuel Tank with new pickup tube, new fuel line from Pump to tank
New Six Volt Generator & Voltage Regulator,
New King Pin Bushings,
With making the decision to sell this vehicle the seller
was able to do the below:
Install a new Eight Volt Battery,
(Regulator has been adjusted for this eight volt battery)
Cleaned Ignition, Points, Rotor, and Disturber Cap
Cleaned & Gaped Spark plugs
Dismantle and Clean & lube the Starter and resemble & reinstall
After doing the above items the engine started right up (from prime to carb)
(See the rust that was blown out of the exhaust system)
As you can see this vehicle is complete, see photos
The floor is 85% solid, body fenders as per photos do not have any dents
Just one small (tennis ball size dent) on the passenger’s side rear quarter”
