1953? CJ-3A/M-38 Taylor Ranch, NM **Status Unknown**

UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $4000

(12/18/2017) Seller describes this as a 1953 CJ-3A. It may be a CJ-3A chassis and M-38 body (seller indicates the body is “new”). It lacks the holes necessary to mount the M-38 grille hinges to the frame.

“This jeep is a 1953 cj3a, but it now has a brand new body tub that is a m38 body. Its just primered to stop from rusting. Lots of new parts rebuilt tcase, and trany diffs have been gone through. The engine turns but hasent been gone through. Its all stock has a doner frame from another jeep. Its like 90%, it does need wireing figured out, or just put new wireing harneses. Also needs brakes looked at, the spring kits were replaced i think not adjusted properly. It stops on one wheel but pedal goes to floor.

We have clear title. Most work was done buy Savios fwd in albuquerque at the time. We dont have the time or money to finnish it. It does retain the factory gauges. The shifters were also cromed out. All the original seats, willys tailgate, no back seat. Some one could easily finish this with alittle time. We got with the intention on converting it to a v8, but would requier to many mods. Plus its a small jeep. Its all original drive train numbers match on diffs, trany engine ect. Some one needs to finish it off.”

Love to purchase this jeep, I’m a DAV and restricted budget but on my bucket list. Can only afford $5000 delivered to 06811 , Danbury, Ct. If you can make this happen I would be in your Debt. Please respond if interested. I have been wanting one since I left the Army and now am 60 years old, I have a few good years left and and need a project I can leave my Son after I’m gone. I totally understand if you choose not to accept my meager offer. if you do, please respond collectively, regards , Anthony Collazo.

    Hi Anthony,

I can’t tell if this one sold or not. I’ve updated the post. If I see the jeep for sale again, I will send you an email to the new craigslist ad.

    Hi Anthony,

My wife is a DAV (hurt at Khobar in ’96), so I can relate to your situation.

eWillys is not a normal auction or classified site. It is my vintage jeep research site, but I share it with folks to help match sellers with buyers. The site is mostly an aggregation of links from Craigslist, eBay, and Facebook’s Marketplace. I also create unique content for the site as well. There is 45,000 posts gathered over 10 years, but if you are looking to buy a jeep, only the last month or two of jeep-for-sale posts will likely be live. I update the links as frequently as I can.

When you see a jeep you are interested in, click on the link within the post.  If that link shows the item has been deleted, sold, or is no longer available, feel free to comment under the post and I will see if it is still available. Yes, the low priced jeeps go quickly!

If you have questions, I’m happy to help. Just shoot me an email!

    Thanks,
    – Dave
