“Rare 1966 “Long Distance” Jeep CJ-6

1966 Jeep CJ-6. Rare factory “Long Distance” Jeep. It includes a Meyers steel hardtop and steel doors. This Jeep has left and right Factory ten gallon underseat fuel tanks giving it a total of 20 gallons capacity. It was originally ordered as an Arizona government vehicle likely used in the U.S. Forest Service. The Original Government order tag is included.

It is equipped with the original driveline:
Recently rebuilt 134 Cubic Inch F-Head four cylinder engine with a new Carburetor
T-90 Borg Warner Transmission
T-18 Spicer Transfer Case.
5.38 ratio axles

This makes the Jeep an excellent off-road capable vehicle, however it IS limited in terms of on-road speed. Because of this, I am including an ATV overdrive unit, which when installed, will improve road speed by approximately 20%.

This Jeep runs, but does need a thorough safety inspection and in some areas rebuild and repair to make it roadworthy and safe. It is incredibly rust-free for it’s fifty two year age and has only one spot which requires minor repair in the driver’s side footwell.

I am including two new fuel tanks, including new fuel gauge sending units, as well as a new 2 Inch suspension lift kit including shocks. A number of odds and ends are also included.”
