“1949 Willy’s Jeep.
Runs and drives fine. I drove it all around this weekend. I’ve got Plates and Insurance. I just don’t have time to enjoy it.
Tires are practically BRAND new.
Interior is flawless
All lights and gauges work as they should. ”
Not too many ’49 2a’s around. I thought only the early ones had the black headlight rings and then switched to chrome? Any of the 2A guys/ gals know??
Matt,
To me the grille looks like an early grille. I’ve got a “?” at the end of the 1949 in the post title because I doubt this was a ’49.
The headlight rings are black , because they encountered a paint brush .
Did anybody notice that big oil leak on the garage floor?… I did, first thing I’d ask about.
Looks pretty clean. Price reasonable.
The front frame rails would suggest it’s a 49. Matt check out the CJ2a page it will give you all the info you need.
This could be a late 1948 or 1949 CJ-2A (or it is a combination of CJ-2A & CJ-3A parts). The CJ-2A frame changed (gussets dropped) circa s# 215648: https://www.thecj2apage.com/forums/frame-change-from-2a-to-3a-style_topic7191.html
