The top photo to me has almost a painting quality at least to me. The LST in the back ground has ghostly look to it with the mist/fog/smoke. The men pushing the jeep and on the front LST have at that moment a look of not posing, but —sorry cannot come up with the words, other then the men remind me of some the great Rembrandt’s paintings in the way they are captured . IMHO

Agreed. There’s a natural drama in that first photo, certainly in part due to the circumstances, but also in part to the cropping of the photo. Just excellent!
