1945 Ford GPW 4X4 JEEP. Clear Title. Runs Great !
Engine is mid 1960 Mustang, rebuilt with about 1000. miles on it.
New Clutch. Original Trans and transfer case. I have the rebuild kits for the brakes, and New master cyl.
Runs good,Drives good, needs brakes fixed. New Gauges,( have originals included).
Have original Radiator. NEW Driver side seat frame, New spare tire bracket.

Might be worth the price… and could be made into a parade jeep or for reenacting (or enjoy it as-is). But that diamondplate even covers the tool boxes in the back :-(. And with that Mustang engine I’m not thinking a WWII restoration is practical.
Did GPWs used the devil engine as well so to just swap this engine? And how about the value ‘loss’ of non-original but correct engine compared to original? Is it worth it?

Yes, the GPW also used an L-134 (aka go-devil) with a few Ford stylings (F-stamps among other minor changes). Between the floors (which really aren’t too bad considering diamond plating was used) and the incorrect engine, the value ‘loss’ seems already calculated into the current price, which appears pretty fair as Joe noted.
If this had the original engine, body, and frame, the numbers matching value would be higher I would imagine. You might get folks paying $5k or more?
I think there could be value in this by making it into a simple parade jeep. Give this some OD green and few will notice this has replaced floors and an updated engine. Dad ran the same engine in his CJ-5 and it was very dependable, so it’s not a bad power plant to have in my opinion.
