UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4800. Looks like this has a civilian chassis.

This looks like a good price. It’s missing a few of the M-38esque parts

M-38 had them. They were open slots toward the bottom of the hinge. Made it easy to remove the grille so the power plant (radiator, engine, bell housing, transmission, and transfer case) could be removed as one unit.

Familiar with the hinges, I guess I mean where the pin would come from the frame looks like a typical 2A grill mount. Shouldn’t the hinge pin be visible from the front at the frame mount? If you click on the CL link there are other pics that appear to show the body mount pad typical of a 2A/3A where it would be bolted, and the M38 “hinges” don’t appear to have pins in them.

    Just an opinion…

Good eye. That one got past me. Not all is as it seems, as that may be a 2A or 3A frame. That helps explain the price.

Bob: No worries, I was having spelling issues as well this morning. I’ve clean yours and mine up πŸ™‚

What was the serial number? There were only about 800 made between Sept and Dec 1950.I have number 675 made in Dec 1950.I am trying to find how many are still out there today. So far I have only found 3 made in 1950 that are still functional. One is in a museum.
