UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3300.
It’s a left-handed DJ-5, so probably wasn’t used for mail delivery.
“Vintage 1971 Jeep DJ5. In great condition. Rebuilt transmission. Nice new paint job. Runs good. New tires. All New lights. New mirrors. New window rubber all the way around. Have clean title.”
Just a bit of trivial information, Major Post offices in large cities had assigned left hand drive Jeep DJ5’s to supervisors during the 1970’s & 80’s. Each Post Office had at least one left hand drive DJ5. Having known postal workers, and seeing these for sale at local Post Offices, I know this to be factual information.
Not trivial at all. Very interesting. There goes my “only right handed jeeps were bought by the post office” theory. Thanks!

Nice!
Is this jeep still available?
Hi Keri,
It’s gone from Craigslist, so I don’t know if it sold or not. I’ve updated the post. If I see it relisted I will send you an email. I did find this other one:
