“This is a 1947 Willys Jeep.
It comes with a cover to protect the beautiful 2 year old red paint job.
I am selling this for a friend whose husband passed away and was restoring it– (about 90-95% restored).
4 wheel drive, 4 speed (w/PTO), GM small block V8 – 283 engine (not the original engine but runs well).
Battery 2-3 yrs old
This is a great buy at $5,999.”

something looks odd with the wheelbase, springs are from a later model Kaiser jeep and almost has the appearance of one that has been placed on an early CJ5 or M38A1 frame and rear section bobed. may not be but looks really odd around the wheelwells but even so it is a beautiful jeep!

William, you may well be correct. The front crossmember suggests the frame is a later CJ-5/CJ-3B frame.

Is that the battery hanging down underneath the passenger side floor? Bad news for off reading. Rear wells are tear drop shaped. But I won’t to give a word of warning on this vehicle. First Michigan tags, then listed in Leesburg MO, could be Leesburg, FL since it is very close to Ocala, FL. That name is a name used by one the biggest scammers on Craigslist and other sites. I know of two people pursuing him in Orange County, FL S/I and with the State of FL. AG/DA. Ocala is where he hangs out. Works out of a Starbucks in MT. Dora FL. Be careful because he uses women to laundry the money and the vehicle may already been sold to two or three others before it’s over.
