Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I found this cool brochure on eBay for almost nothing. It’s printed on very thin paper. It’s 8.5 x 11, but part of the left side folds over, bringing it’s width down to about 6″. I believe it is was created in 1946 or 1947. The photo below as an early grille and a column shift. One illustration has tool indents.

Interesting that this advertisement features a Willys with left hand steering. Being this was targeted the Australian market.
Did they do magazine inserts in the forties? Only reason I can think of for the folds.
Mike, I doubt following WWII that Willys Overland was geared up to address the issue of left-handed vs. right-handed jeeps. For right-handed countries, I suspect it was a take-what-you-can-get. If I remember correctly, there were one or more garages in Australia that offered to switch jeeps from left to right. I think it wasn’t until a production facility opened in Australia ( http://www.ewillys.com/2016/06/24/1958-4-page-australian-jeep-article/ ) that right-hand jeeps were produced. I suspect the marketing likely addressed the right-hand issue then, too. Maybe someone with a better knowledge of Australian history can provide more info or documentation.
