Nick shared this one. The glove box lid looks swapped and the tool box lids are missing. Hasn’t been started in a while.
“You are looking at a RARE 1942 Willeys Script Jeep!! It has been garaged or in a barn since purchase in 1946. Owned only by two owners and has title. It has been painted red by the son when he was in high school so it has the army green underneath the red. As you can see from the pictures it doesn’t have much rust for the age in the pictures the spots that don’t have red is the army green underneath and has all the parts except it needs new canvas for the top. It is the early 1942 Willeys because it has the Willeys stamped on the back of it and the military asked them to stop stamping in the end of 1942. It hasn’t been started for 25 years.”
See what happens when I don’t check craigslist first thing in the morning? I miss stuff.
This one I think I’d try to strip the red off and leave it like it is.
If anyone wants me to go check this out for them, it’s in my neck of the woods…I’d be happy to help.
NDT’s with white-walls… interesting.

I contacted the guys about it, I have requested additional photos to determine the condition of the vehicle. When I requested information about the engine, they didn’t know if it was original or not. My email is oddsandends2@sbcglobal.net. . if you could do a inspection of the vehicle that would be great. I believe they are asking 3000.00 over the worth of the vehicle.
Thank You John Crabtree
