“1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A. This was a frame off restoration I finished 3 years ago. It was rebuilt from the frame up, 3865 miles on it since then.

Engine, transmission, transfer case, and axles were disassembled, powder coated black, rebuilt, and re-assembled. The rebuilt engine is the original 134 “Go Devil” Jeep 4 cylinder engine. It runs perfectly. I added a modern electronic ignition system. (MSD box). The axles have 4:88 gears, and a locker in the rear. The front has new Warn lock outs.

I made some repairs to the stock frame, (it previously had a snow plow mount welded on) and it is also powder coated black. The suspension and steering has all been rebuilt/replaced. A 3″ suspension lift (springs) was installed, and revolver spring shackles. Tires are BFG all terrains 32×11:50×15 mounted on aluminum slot wheels.

Brakes have been completely rebuilt/replaced. The brake lines are all stainless steel. The brake drums and backing plates are also powder coated.

The body tub, fenders, hood, and tailgate are all new steel from 4 Wheel Drive Hardware. The windshield frame is also new, and it is a CJ3A style. These look better than the CJ2A style, uses a 1 piece windshield, has a vent, and moves wipers to the bottom of the windshield.

The body, fenders, tailgate, hood, grill, and windshield frame have all been powder coated yellow inside and outside before assembly, then after assembly and body work it was painted the same yellow. This Jeep will never rust!

On the inside, it has custom front bucket seats, and a rear jump seat. I fabricated front seat mounts that allowed putting the seats farther back than stock. I also shortened the steering column 4 inches. As anyone who has driven on flat fender Jeep knows, they are pretty cramped. This makes it much more comfortable! I installed a painless wiring kit and switch panel, Kenwood stereo, autometer gauges, and bikini top. This is a really cool Jeep, something different than the average Wrangler! ”
