Dave, Let me see if I understand you correctly, You are expecting to have RUSTY ROAD WORTHY by this summer? If you can make this happen, “You must be a magician, because you sure have the magic touch.”

  2. Marty Tilford

I for one have total faith in him, he will make it happen 🙂

Side note; if there’s anything I can do to help in some way dont hesitate to ask 🙂

    Mike,

In a nutshell, YEP! Chris and others have helped out by offering me a great deal on parts I didn’t have. I should be able to test run the engine by February. I hope to already have gone through the brakes, rear axle, and front hubs by that time. The body work is really the biggie, but I do have some local friends that I believe can help.

It will all make a good story ….

Marty: I’ll call you if I need you, but I know you are busy enough as it is 🙂

    Dave,
Ive made that drive a number of times over the years. It is indeed worth whatever trouble it takes to make it happen. However, frost heaves are numerous and continuous, even in summer. They can be like ski jumps. Sometimes they’re marked, usually not. Make sure you have good seat belts to hold you in your seat, and good cushions or it will take some of the fun out of the trip. Dont now if you’re planning on hauling a small trailer behind “Rusty”, but the frost heaves are a bigger deal then. No matter what, good luck making good progress on your mighty Willys.
