UPDATE III: Looks like it sold. Was priced at $7500.
UPDATE II: Scott shared these additional pics on mother-in-law seats:
UPDATE: Lewis shared a photo he had of another mother-in-law seat:
Original Post: Wagon is Still For Sale
One pic shows it with a roof carrier and another doesn’t. It sure has a great vintage look.
“Here is a very rare and nice original 2wd willys jeep overland woody look wgn. Has rebuilt 4cyl flat head and 3 on column shift & over drive . Has amazing interior for the year, needs a little body work and paint, very little rust. This little wagon drives so nice for a 49, a must see. You wouldn’t find another like it, $7500.”
That’s in great shape and even has the mother in law seat!
That’s probably the best view of that very scarce side facing rear seat option I’ve seen. A very nice appearing first edition Willys Wagon in it’s last model year.
I have a very good photo of a mother-in-law seat but I couldnt attach it here for comparison. The one in this ad is a single seat that folds, either from the back row of seats or an old front folding seat. The real deal didnt fold. I can email should anyone want the pic. Love this Jeep though. Great patina.
Lew, just email it to me and I’ll be happy to add it (d@ewillys.com).
still for sale ?
Looks like this one sold. I’ve updated the post.
