If it truly is one a one owner car, dementia might explain all of this.
My friend use to push start the midgets at the local dirt track 40 years ago with his 1955 M38A1 with a Chevy 283 in her. Free pass to the race since he was the UN-offical starter with a front bumper not as large as this one but big enough.
