Thanks guys. They’re 16″
WOW!! Nice looking “Lefty” and well detailed. That O/D is worth a bunch installed. Notice the 8 Volt Battery. If it looks that good up close, you sure couldn’t build it for that price. I’ll try to check if it’s on our “LEFTY LIST”.
Hi all, I bought this beauty, whats up with the “Lefty List”? Could you give me some info?
Go to The CJ2A Page in the Discussion Forum and search “Lefty” or the whole topic is about 6 pages long called “Calling All Leftys”.
Ben,
It’s a good and common question:
For a short period of time, March, 3rd through April,14th of 1948, the Willys Overland factory switched the normal location of the spare tire mount to the driver-side which in turn necessitated the bow pockets be moved to the passenger-side.
The serial number range was from #176,061 through #185,769 … though there were some exceptions.
Lots of Lefty questions and research here — http://www.thecj2apage.com/forums/calling-all-leftys_topic16021_page1.html
