I always liked the name of that town, does anyone know where the name comes from?
It’s name is based on a local tribe that was in the valley, the Puyallup Indians. For those that don’t know, the name is pronounced PEW AL UP or PEW AWL UP. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puyallup_tribe. There are 29 federally recognized tribes in Washington State: http://www.native-languages.org/washington.htm .
