I think this is in LaGrande OREGON, NOT California. ah, 1952 CJ-3A, don’t think so.

Yep, I meant to write OR, but my fingers typed CA! (I am only two hours from LaGrande OR).
What makes you conclude it isn’t a 1952 CJ-3A? It has a 3A windshield, what appears to be a 3A body. It has a 3A grille, though it is missing the frame supports for it, but it looks like they may have been removed when the front frame rail was altered.
