UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000.
(07/03/2016) Has some dings, but still might be worth a look.
“Offered for sale from a estate is a 1944 Willys MB Military jeep 1/4 ton 4X4. Jeep is in excellent running order and has had the following work performed on it since 1970. Engine overhaul, transmission gone thru, radiator cleaned, one set of new springs, new wheel cylinders, between the two previous owners only a 1000 miles has been put on the vehicle. all metal is original from 1944,but the electrical system has been changed from 6V to 12V with a alternator put on instead of a generator. This vehicle is a piece of Americana history and is 72 years old. all wheels are original a nice historic vehicle.
This one has a lot going for it at a price worth checking out in person.
But “all wheels are original”? NO: these would of course be combat rims. Someone has replaced the original tank, cut a hole in the side for this CJ tank’s side filler, and removed the sump that we should see below the driver’s side body line. No blackout drive either, darn it.
Unique front bumper, too… albeit kind of cool 🙂
Looks like post war engine.
Looks like you can pick up some vintage playboy magazines for $1 each while you are down there.
😉
Brother, If I lived over the pond I would make you an offer ya just couldn’t refuse. The tub looks like *hit but it’s 72 years old and it’s not fibreglass, right?
