UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
“1951 Willy’s Pickup 4wd Project Vehicle. It was used to drill holes for blasting. It is 4WD. It has a PTO that could be used for some other purpose like running a winch. It needs a distributor cap, plug wires, a coil and a battery. It has a straight 4 engine. The tires are not in good shape but would probably hold air long enough to get it on a trailer.
I am not willing to part it out or let you work on it for a few days to see if you can get it running.”
Now that would be a cool one to have
Probably the only one extant. Wonder if it has a BUILDERS TAG? You’d be the only one at a WORKING WILLYS SHOW. The price is certainly right.
Isn’t it possible that one of Dave’s mining ancestors used this?
Steve,
The only oil boring that I know of was doing in Marietta, Ohio, in 1865. It didn’t go all that well. Might have been more successful had they owned a jeep!
didn’t look like this jeep was for oil boring. says for BLASTING.
For some reason I saw drilling and though oil boring. I’m wrong. (too much book on the brain :-))
Would like to come look at it need birection 208-661- 3578
