Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Clean out the fuel line and replace the fuel pump and you might have a running CJ-5 for under $1000.

Purchased this vehicle early 2010, cleared up fuel problems, rebuilt motor, green paint job, have put nearly 3k miles to date mostly back country. It has been a blast!
