1960? DJ-3A Ventura, CA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: DJ-3A This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3950. Might have been a Pepsi Surrey.

Per Colin, 56337 18392 1960 DJ3A Yellow, floor shift, some modifications, bucket seats, chrome windshield grab bars, chrome front bumper. Could this have been a Pepsi Surrey? Very close to numbers of other Pepsi Surreys.

This is owned by Sherri and had the DJ featured in a magazine (Four Wheeler?). At some point, this jeep was stolen. It was returned to her in poor shape. It needs some restoration.  (At least, that’s what I understand based on the text below).

“Willys Jeep flat head 4 NOT 4Wheel drive, 3 speed shift
Old military style clean engine like new, needs tires & seats mounted, have bikini top,
I have owned 40 years originally restored (40 yrs ago) & was in magazines “jeep was stolen & left in a wash for few years” when I got it back I started to restore again! Was told 1945 registered & pink slip 1960.
Have original hubs W cromed, & more cromed parts for jeep!
Photos show older pics & current pics”

This DJ3A has some Surrey equipment on it; the windshield grab handles, chrome bumpers, rear mounted spare with no tailgate. She says she has the chromed hubcaps with the W on them. Maybe they are the full Surrey caps?? Floor shift not Surrey stuff. “Radiator is late CJ2A OR very late 1964 DJ3A.

Called and left a message for her to call me.

I too was thinking surrey at first glance. The solid back panel as you mentioned with the back corner bow pockets was another sign that adds to the suspense here.

This may not be the place here and Dave can delete this if he wants.

But the thing looks pretty nice at a glance except for the missing steering column shifter , etc.

IF someone wanted to get into a surrey this might could be worth looking at price wise.

But because of what this DJ likely is you’d might want to think hard about about fixing that shifter and wrong tail lights.

If so, then I can help with original already restored parts. Probably cheaper than you could source them anywhere else so feel free to contact me. I can help.

That said , I know absolutely nothing about this jeep except for what I see. Not mine nor do I even have a clue who owns it.

Dave, if this is inappropriate please delete.

Back in March I paid a local enthusiast to examine this DJ3A up close for me. I decided not to buy and ship it cross country to Maine. If you are a serious player, contact me for details of this evaluation.
