Glenn forwarded this request that comes via Hemmings for offroad vehicles for an exhibit celebrating the forerunners of modern SUVs.
“The museum is seeking early Jeeps, including Bantam BRC prototypes or replicas, Willys MBs, and CJ models; 1948-’50 Willys Jeepsters or 1966-’73 Kaiser-Jeep Jeepster Commandos; early Land Rovers, including Series I, II and III models; 1985-’94 Suzuki Samurais; 1999-2001 Isuzu VehiCROSS; 1983-’90 Ford Bronco IIs; 1977-present Lada Niva; 1971-present Pinzgauer models; 1960-’84 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser models; early Subaru wagons; ARO (Auto Romania) IMS, 24 Series or 10 Series models; and 1989-2003 LaForza models.”
Thank you so much for sharing the information on this exhibit! We’re also featuring early SUV’s at our annual Museum car show on Saturday, June 18th – we’d love to have great participation!
Nancy,
I hope it helps get the word out. One of our goals on our trips across the country is to visit and report on museums (both with jeeps and without them) and tourist attractions (like house on the rock in Wisconsin). For my own purposes, I study what museums do to get my interest and keep it, how they educate me, presentation techniques, and gift store strategies, and more. I do it to answer a question I have — how would I create a jeep museum to appeal, entertain, and educate visitors who don’t care about jeeps, because they are the very demographic that would make/break a jeep museum (in my opinion).
We had a good time at the AACA. You can read our short report on our visit to Hershey here: http://www.ewillys.com/2013/05/23/may-22-in-hershey-old-cars-and-chocolate-shots/
If I can do anything else, feel free to email me at d@ewillys.com.

Awww…Isn’t that sweet! {sorry, folks, I had to}
That would be a fun thing to do, just don’t think I could be without my Jeep all summer! We really need to get a Jeep museum going. It’s a crime that there is not one.
We are hosting our annual CARnival on June 18th and we will be featuring Jeeps and early SUV’s out front this year. A great way to showcase your vehicles without giving them up for the whole summer! We’re working to get our registration form finalized and our event up on the website by next week. Hope to see a great turnout!
