Looks like he pieced in some straight sheet metal for the lower part of the back half of the car, instead of getting the proper patch panels. And, he wasn’t concerned about making his new work match the way the car came from the factory.
I’d be very worried about buying this car sight unseen. The obvious repair work, coupled with a full plywood rear floor doesn’t bode well for rust…
And it isn’t a 1951! It has the large speedometer post 1955, door handles instead of the pushbuttons, taillights on the sides of the body instead of one on the left side of the tailgate, plus some other things no doubt!.
And the Super Hurricane wasn’t available in 1951!
