“This is a Ford GPW made on 5/21/1943 a Friday, 1943. It was bought by my Grandfather in 1947 from fort Ord calif. It has been in the family since then and passed to me. It is in great shape with little to no rust and is stock, other than it is now 12volts and has larger brakes. This jeep had two things in life to do, and that was to go hunting and live in the garage. When you call I can tell you more about this grate piece of history.”
If I were you, I would keep this model, and wait until 2046, the 100th anniversary of your grandfather buying it, and then see how much it is worth. Trust me, kid, you’ll be surprised.
Turned out to be a pretty nice jeep…..I was able to make a deal with the owner.
