UPDATE: Still Available.
(08/03/2015) Edgar Kaiser was Henry’s son if I’m not mistaken. The family owned a house on Orcas Island. There’s information about it here.
“3rd Owner, originally owned by Edgar Kaiser on his Orcas Island Buffalo Ranch. Very original. Low miles on professionally rebuilt motor.
Runs, drives, starts, stops.”
Does anyone know anything about the other Willys Jeeps at Kaiser’s estate on Orca Island? Supposedly, he had one of the three prototype FC-Commuter vans there.
Dan,
As you may remember, I worked in the San Juan Islands for several years (1986-1989). I had one of the few flat fender jeeps on the island at that time. I never saw nor heard much about any FCs (though I was unfamiliar with them at the time) nor did I hear much about the Kaiser estate on Orcas.
The best bet would be to contact the San Juan Historical Society (https://www.visitsanjuans.com/account/san-juan-historical-society-museum) to see if they have any info. Most of the history I heard about Orcastime at that centered on Robert Moran and the Rosario Resort (https://rosarioresort.com/museum).

Thanks, Dave. I just emailed the historical society.
