“One of 4155 m170 jeep ambulances ever made. Only a handful left in existence. Purrs like a kitten. Very minimal rust. Metro engineering hard top and doors. Clear title. Have lots of parts included to finish. Needs carb rebuilt, brakes installed, and gas tank boiled out due to varnish. Great tires. No seats. $3500.”
Hey Folks, I have a restored m-170 field ambulance, (going on 12 years). I was wondering what parts you have, (a member in our club is restoring one) and if you would consider selling you metal top? Thank you for your attention.-Gar ( if you’d like to call, E-mail me and I’ll send you my cell# or your # and I’ll call you?) thanks again!
Hi Gar,
It looks like that one sold. I’ve updated the post.

Neat hardtop, any pictures of one similar?
I bought this about 1 yr ago. Was 12 volt conversion project. I took it back to 24 volt. All back together runs great. The hard top is a m38a1 cut in half with a 20 inch addition inserted right behind the doors (well done). Still looking for original seats and spare tire rail.

Thanks for the update Tim. If you want to send some pics in, I’d be happy to share them readers. (d@ewillys.com). I met a guy in Phoenix who is into M-170s. He may be able to help locate the parts you need.
