The seat belt hold downs are where the cast radio generator set up mount. The light switch plate is another indicator of a CJV-35/U and one can see that on the rear cross member, the holes are there for the lifting rings and bumperettes. To bad it has an M-38 windshield and what looks like man M.B. or GPW engine hood.
A friend on mine went and looked at this. The title vin doesn’t match the vehicle Vin. The tag does say CJV…
The tailgate was enclosed at some point, and the fenders are full of filler. The jeep has not been on title in CA since 99. There was a hint of gray paint under the white.
He said it runs and drives great.
Thanks for the confirmation Chris. Interesting that the Vins don’t match. Could the title vin be an engine number? I’ve seen that done many times. Sure looks like a solid jeep.

I’m not sure about that. He didn’t look past the vin on the plate. He said the seller acted suprised they didn’t match up. It was enough to make him walk.
Also the title said 1958 CJ.
Yeah, I can understand that issue. I hope the seller can sort that out.
