1942 Willy’s Jeep I4 motor *** asking 10,000.00 bill of sale *un-restored”
I’m not too much of a military jeep guy, but I have owned a ’42 gpw. The front cross member was a stamped piece of frame steel but this jeep looks to have the willys “pipe” cross member. Anyone else see that…also mine had little “f”s stamped everywhere and I don’t see them on top of the front fenders but the pics aren’t that clear. Just thinking…
Some of the early 42 GPWs used a Willys frame. But it could also be a salad.
“un-restored” but missing a decent number of details. Tail lights have been reworked. Missing anything bows related for the top, missing various straps, missing BO Drive light, missing additional hold downs on the hood… I’d say $7500 if underhood is complete and it’s not a salad.
Hard to tell Dave, but in the one photo it looks like it might be a script jeep. Don’t think its worth what he is asking though.
No doubt this is a Willys frame. The tool box lids are GPW. It impossible to tell from the pictures if the rest of the body is ford or Willys. The foot rests are a giveaway but you can’t see them. There are data plates on the glove box door and if they are original- that will go a long way to identifying this jeep.
If it is an early GPW on a Willys frame… Buy it quick, only 1500 made and worth every penny of his price. Somehow though, I don’t think that’s what this is.

Looks like a mix of MB And GPW parts…… be a good parade Jeep.
