UPDATE: I thought this included a Perkin’s Diesel in the jeep. I now believe the Perkins is an extra motor, because the motor in the jeep is an f-head.

I though the samething. I don’t see any perkins Diesel in there. Beleive me, i have one. This is an F134.
Ya Doug, looks like a f head to me too. Also, in ’65, the parking lights are supposed to be plastic amber lenses, not clear glass. Later style steering wheel with small horn button and newer version of heater controls. I keep reading the add over and over. I think the seller means that the Perkins, 4 speed and extra parts are also available, because this would have a model 27a for a front end, not a 30. All that being said and if it looks as good as the pics show, I’d buy this in a NY minute (no pun intended). It’s in wonderful shape and complete. Check out that passenger side body steel. Weird style of wheel on rear passenger. Spare tire bracket totally installed correctly. I bet original paint. Show me the stencil! I like it a lot. Why so far away, why? Bargain, Bargain, bargain.
Yeah, I may have read that too fast. On second look it appears the Perkins is one of the extra parts he has. My bad!
Dave very easy to misunderstand the ad.:) And Pascal,I too know what the Perkins diesel looks like.My dad has one on his farm in a Massey Ferguson 180.I think it is rated at 62 horsepower.Very easy on fuel. 🙂
I looked it up,the advertised PTO horsepower on the MF 180 is 64 hp,and the advertised drawbar horsepower is 54 hp.

I just spoke with the owner, the Perkins is available at an extra charge. It runs and drives. Needs a New wiring harness and one spring.
