UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $950.
Rare Vic Hickey head for sale.
“From off road pioneer Vic Hickey, very rare high compression finned aluminum head for 1939 and up Willys L134 engine – Kaiser, Jeep/Jeepster/Henry J./Allstate. This has one enlarged plug hole and needs a threaded insert but is otherwise in fine original shape with minimal sign of electrolysis around water neck flange but very clean head surface and combustion chambers – absolutely usable as is. This is a very rare period performance upgrade for your Willys L134 powered pride and joy. I have not seen a Hickey head for sale in many, many years. Do not miss this one!”
This head appears to be in fair shape, but a buyer needs to get more info on its condition. A reputable machine shop should take care of the enlarged spark plug hole and machine the head surface.
I am in the process of installing one of these I bought off ebay last year for a lot less than this one and was in better condition. They are rare and look cool as heck on my DJ3A Surrey.
I’ve never seen one of these before. What does it do, exactly?
Er, my name is J. iPhone autocorrected my name. 😛
I think they are just higher compression for a little more oomph.
