“I have a 1953 Willy’s Jeep CJ3B with a 7′ western snow plow on it. It hasn’t been used in years. Runs very good. Will need to be restored. Original paint. Everything works. Heater,Lights, horn, wipers. High and low speeds. Hydraulics for plow. It has Jeep deep lug snow tires. Motor is the original 4 cyl. overhead valve. Rebuilt carburetor, new fuel pump and gas tank. Replaced front floor pan. Purchased about 25 years ago from a church. Was used to plow the church side walks. Never received the title. They misplaced it. Probably could be replaced. Speedometer shows about 4,500 miles.
Have new tail lights and some other parts.”
If anybody is interested in this 3B, I live a few miles from it.
I’d be happy to go look at it for you.

I went with John to go see this Willys yesterday. It has not been hacked up and seems mostly original. The body tub is pretty rough (repairable but would be a lot of effort), but the frame and everything else is reasonably solid. The engine starts and idles well. It’s definitely a solid candidate for a restoration project.
Thanks guys!
The no title thing is frustrating on all these old jeeps. Also, does anyone recognize the top on this 3b? Looks like a modified cj5 fiberglass top.
I purchased a 3B without a title a few years back in IL and It was reasonably easy to file for a lost title. Wasn’t the $200ish that was the problem, it was the wonderful state taking a year to get it to me..
Looks Like the ad is down, so maybe he managed to sell it. John and I were hoping someone would grab it since it was a solid candidate for a restoration. Neither of us had the space for it at the moment.
Bob – The top was actually off a CJ5 which his son used to own. It was for sale separately (with doors) for $500.
