To buy it here in Arizona “correctly”, title needs seller’s notarized signature. I’m pretty sure inmates have access to notary services. That “in jail” thing is a red flag, especially when he repeated it 3 times.
At least the seller is being clear on the issue. He’s certainly not hiding the fact.
