Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
There are plenty of interesting, unusual, historic and surprising stories related to Jeeps and their owners. In addition, some of these features have nothing to do with jeeps. This link will display all featured stories starting from the latest.
Looking for parts and not sure where to go? There are a variety of large and small new and used parts sellers both online and offline.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

This one was for sale last week for about $1200. looks like this guy bought it to flip
This Jeep MAY have been used at Ft. Wolters Texas in the 60’s and 70’s as a APU Jeep. Ft. Wolters was the Primary Army Helicopter training base during the Vietnam war. Note the Jeep is yellow in color ,the snorkel port in the right side of the hood is missing (where the APU line thru) and posts are attached to the front bumper to wrap the APU line around.
Troy: I believe you are right. I’ll update that other post.
Rick: That’s useful information. I’ll mark this as an APU just in case.

I’ve found the older post and updated it. http://www.ewillys.com/2015/01/21/1954-m-38a1-belton-tx-no-price/
There’s more info there. I never saw a price for it.

Hi guys, thats a nice jeep.. i would love to have it. if it came from fort wolters. that would be a piece of history and would be really neat to own. ive always been curious if there is more vehicles out there somewhere on the old base. or if they sold them all out or still used them all.. thanks for the share

Kelly, I was a Army Pilot and flew the Last flyable helicopter from Ft. Wolters when it closed. I took a tour of the base and there were no M38A1’s on the property. I was in the Delaware ARMY National Guard and the M38A1’s were being phased out for the M151. The Delaware AIR Guard received a Ft. Wolters M38A1 for practice parachute air drops – Don’t know what ever happened to it except that it was a successful air drop at Ft. Dix N.J. I have a M38A1 that came from the Pa.Army Guard by way of the R.O.T.C. department
at the Valley Forge Military Academy and Junior College . My hood was dented and was able to exchange the Air Guard’s parachute drop Jeep’s hood for my dented hood. Rick Kennett Square Pa.
