(12/22/2014) Has two batteries?
“The motor runs great!Flathead 6 cylinder, 2 jet carb. This is original motor & transmission rebuilt.
Transmission shift smooth, 3 speed with high/low gear, all Gage’s works great along with oil pressure, water temp., amper meter and fuel gage.
Driver side window cracked, checked price to replace! Window cost 75.00 if they install they charge 125.00. Tires have lots of tread, some weather checking
Wiper motor & heater blower works great, needs new wiper blades.
Off road lights were added, included with willy jeep.
Emergency breaks are good.
Replaced master cylinders, breaks work greatest!
Truck runs in 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive. GREAT VEHICLE! HIGHLY COLLECTABLE
2 batteries wired in parallel”
WONDER WHAT THE PURPOSE IS WITH THE 2 BATTERIES IN SERIES…SURELY NOT 24 VOLT ??
The ad says the batteries are wired parallel, not in series.
For some reason a military dashboard and dash was installed in this FC. The blackout light switch was blanked out with lighted toggle switches. The interior paint and the grill tells me it’s a civilian cab, and not an M-676 pickup, so just the original dashboard was replaced. I was told that a 2bbl carburetor wouldn’t fit on an FC-170, apparently they can. 2bbl’s only came in ’54 Willys wagons and pickups, and all Kaiser/Frazer cars. They never were factory in an FC.

Do you guys think this price is fair? I’m considering purchasing it to restore, but I know next to nothing about them.
I would say this is priced high. I only say it, because it was priced lower just a few months ago: http://www.ewillys.com/2014/11/07/1963-fc-170-griffin-ga-ebay/
When compared to this one that was listed last year in Georgia the price seems high, too:
