Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (12/17/2014) Engine is stuck.

“Howdy Folks, Up for sale is whats left of a 1953 Willys CJ3B. Its someones doodle bug project. Not sure what his plan was. What I do know is it has a F head engine that is stuck. Has a three speed transmission attached to a high low transfer case. The frame is bobbed just in front of the rear arch and the rear axel is welded to it.

What is interesting is the two unusual power take offs. One on the back of the transmission and another dozer gear running off the parking brake drum. I have a pallet of spare parts that go with, like extra head, transmission, transfer case, some sheet metal.”
